Chateau Roubine, Côtes des Provence Rosé Cru Classé "Cuvée Premium" 2021

This is a glorious 82-hectare property sitting in its own bowl right in the heart of Provence near the pretty town of Lorgues. It has been under the ownership of the dynamic Valérie Rousselle since 1994.

This delicious fine and delicate Côtes de Provence Rosé is made mainly from the local Provençal grape variety Tibouren, together with some Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Mourvèdre. The grapes are harvested at night and taken to their state-of-the-art winery where the fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks. This wine is made carefully and with great precision and this is reflected in the end product - which has that elegant, dry sweetness so sought after with top class rosé.

In our opinion, this 'growers' wine is a superior product to the more famous names from the heart of Provence - the Miravals and Whispering Angels of this world.  It is an insiders rosé of incredible value and lets face it in 2022, so much cooler.
