Conte Vistarino Pinot Nero Dell'Otrepo Pavese 2020

| /

I discovered this Pinot Noir from South of Milan purely by chance and before it had started to arrive in the UK.

The Vistarino estate is in Rocca de’ Giorgi, Oltrepò Pavese has been owned by the same family for hundreds of years. Carlo Giorgi di Vistarino introduced the Pinot Noir grape to the region at the end of the 19th Century, now his great granddaughter Ottavia is taking the lead.

Pinot Noir has become synonymous with the province, and by using state-of-the-art vineyard and winery technology, Ottavia is producing consistently high-quality, complex and elegant wines.

Wonderfully pure and concentrated expression of Pinot Noir. Ripe, rich, black cherry fruit aromas and flavours dominate the nose and palate. The finish has soft and supple tannins with mulberry notes. For those that like their Pinot Noir with some balanced power.
