Tenuta di Sesta Poggio d'Arna Rosso Toscana IGT 2019

Another wine from Tuscany I hear you say! Having tasted this wine earlier in the year and seen it on some fab lists around town - it became a must list that was confirmed by another tasting in early April.

Tenuta di Sesta is one of the few longstanding producers of Brunello di Montalcino, a world renowned wine that requires no introduction. It is still run by the Ciacci family who founded the winery and manages to show a unique wine at its best, not to mention an ideal, extraordinary terrain.

This wine is created from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and is aged for one year in French Allier barriques and 15 hl Slavonian oak barrels. It has an intensive aroma with overtones of red pulp and pleasant notes of spice. The palate is structured and balanced by the right freshness and velvety tannins.

A real Super Tuscan at super value, this is super versatile red for foodeasy for the whole meal, excellent with red and white meats, Tuscan soups, vegetables, and even some meatier fish dishes.
