I have met Gilles and Nathalie Fèvre at their vineyards in and around Fontenay-près-Chablis, and they are brilliant, and their wines reflect their dedication and honestly, you can feel the love in the wine! They are absolutely delicious, mouth-watering, benchmark examples of pure, incisive, concentrated wines. If you like Chablis, you will love these. Much of the production stays in France and what comes to the UK is often nabbed by the restaurant trade, so I am really lucky to be able to offer these fine Chardonnays.

Since I launched Whitfield Wines, lots of you have bought the wines or tasted with me and the feedback has been overwhelming.

This wine beautifully combines the classic minerality of Chablis with the added richness from its old vines. Its pale yellow hue, with subtle green reflections, introduces aromas of ripe citrus fruits and delicate floral notes, which enhance its fresh, lively character. On the palate, a core of crisp, chalky minerality is complemented by a hint of salinity, a signature of the region's Kimmeridgian limestone soils.

 Perfect as an apéritif, this wine is a good pairing with seafood, poultry, light vegetarian dishes, and creamy sauces, making it a versatile choice for a variety of occasions.

The Fèvre family have been involved in viticulture for several decades, with much of the land they produce from being in the family for 100 years. After meeting at university, studying to become oenologists, Gilles Fèvre and his wife Nathalie took over the domaine, which became known as Domaine Gilles et Nathalie Fèvre. Their daughter Julie is now part of the team.
