In 2014, after a 20-year career in finance, and having extensively explored restaurants in London and all over Europe, I followed my passion and a desire to embark on a new journey in hospitality.

Fast forward to 2020 in the teeth of a global pandemic, Whitfield Wines was born out of my passion for wine, restaurants, and hospitality.

Seeing first-hand the styles of wine enjoyed by diners, tuning in to wine stories, discovering how wine-drinking decisions are made and curating wine lists for some of London’s restaurants has fortified my relationship with wines. My years engaged with the hospitality industry have led to discovering many extraordinary winemakers and suppliers who have proudly become my friends. This journey continues to today as I have been lucky enough to be involved with some iconic London openings, and of course working with their teams to design and build their wine lists.

A challenging terroir produces fine wines, and Whitfield Wines was formed from home during challenging conditions in 2020, growing from helping friends stay well-stocked in their homes during the lockdowns to the monthly, personalised wine provision seen here; additionally, this was an opportunity to work closely with the winemakers and suppliers of my favourite wines, served in restaurants.

"FOUND ON GREAT RESTAURANT WINE LISTS, THESE CLASSIC WINES ARE BEST-IN-CLASS AND ABOVE ALL, DELIVER GREAT VALUE. THE WINES I CHOOSE ARE EXCEPTIONAL EXPRESSIONS OF TERROIR, CULTURE, GRAPE AND WINEMAKERS’ SKILL AS WELL AS THE TASTE AND STYLE OF CURATORS OF WINE LISTS IN LONDON.I SHOWCASE WINES THAT ARE ENJOYED IN RESTAURANTS ACROSS THE CAPITAL FROM FRANCE AND ITALY, WITH A SMATTERING FROM GERMANY & PORTUGAL.IT IS WITH A SENSE OF FUN & ENTHUSIASM I SHARE MY JOURNEY OF WINES WITH YOU, INTRODUCING YOU TO A THOUGHTFULLY CURATED LIST OF RESTAURANT WINES TO ENJOY AT HOME."
