The Morellino di Scansano from Roccapesta is a full-bodied and intense red wine, vinified in steel and aged in tonneau for 12 months. It has wide and intense aromas of fruit and red flowers, with elegant spiciness. The taste is soft and full, with tapered tannins and long persistence.
Alberto Tanzini is the winemaker and owner of the 
winery in Tuscany's Maremma region. A former financier, Alberto left his career in London and returned to his native Italy in 2003 to acquire the estate. Since then, he has focused on elevating Morellino di Scansano, carefully restructuring the vineyards to focus heavily on various clones of the Sangiovese.
