Critically acclaimed and often likened to a refined fusion of Chablis and Meursault, this wine showcases exceptional finesse and elegance. It offers remarkable value and character, standing shoulder to shoulder with many top-tier white Burgundies while remaining more approachable in both style and price. Drinkable now with the potential to evolve pleasingly over the next 5-8 years.
A standout Pouilly-Loché, combining citrus-mineral freshness with depth and finesse, aromas of citrus zest, white peach, and pear evolve into subtle floral and herbal notes, with touches of crushed stone and salinity. The palate reflects the nose with enhanced citrus and orchard fruits, finishing long and mineral.
Elegant and refined, this wine pairs beautifully with seafood, especially shellfish, creamy white meats, and veal.
Domaine Clos des Rocs, located in the village of Loché in southern Burgundy, carries a deep historical legacy—its land once roamed by wild horses and hunters, was later tended by Cluny monks, and then stewarded by the Bérard family for over five centuries. In 2002, Olivier Giroux, a seventh-generation winemaker, acquired the estate and ushered in a new era, revitalising the domaine with a focus on organic and biodynamic viticulture.
