Champagne Guy de Forez can be found in the beautiful village of Les Riceys, in the southern corner of the Côte des Bar, Barséquanais. The village has the largest terroir of Champagne in the region (866ha) and today the wines are in huge demand from the Grandes Marques houses for their impressive local Pinot Noir.
This is rich, full-bodied, and earthy with pronounced red berry flavors (cherry, strawberry) and excellent weight.
Guy de Forez avoids malolactic fermentation on all their wines to maximise freshness. This cuvée is aged on lees for 18 months followed by 8 months on cork. This Champagne displays a golden hue with copper highlights and a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is subtle and comforting, offering aromas of ripe apricot. On the palate, notes of pink grapefruit emerge immediately, lending remarkable freshness. The texture is rich and velvety, allowing for a long and satisfying finish.

The Wenner family have eleven hectares of vines almost entirely made up of Pinot Noir (97%) with small holdings of Meunier and Chardonnay too. All the vines are situated in close proximity to the winery, which is a huge advantage at harvest time. The rolling hillsides of kimmeridgian clay and limestone vineyards create wines of power, elegance and remarkable value.
