An expressive white from Piedmont, Anas‑Cëtta is rooted in rediscovered heritage and crafted entirely from Nascetta—a rare, indigenous grape native to the commune of Novello, reintroduced in the 1990s. As the region’s only native white varietal, Nascetta lends distinctive character to Elvio Cogno’s bottling, first released in 1994. Bridging tradition and modern winemaking, it earns consistent praise for its fresh, elegant style and layered complexity—a standout among Piedmont’s lesser-known whites.
Reflecting its Novello terroir, this wine offers a bright, complex interplay of citrus, herbs, and minerality—fresh, aromatic, and vibrantly expressive.
The Cogno family has deep roots in Langhe viticulture, spanning four generations. In the 1960s, Elvio Cogno helped pioneer cru-designated Barolo at Marcarini before founding his own estate in 1990, restoring an 18th-century farmhouse on Novello’s Ravera hill. He later passed the reins to his daughter Nadia and son-in-law Valter Fissore, who continues the legacy with their daughter Elena.
