Situated on a steep slope, Champs Perdrix is the southernmost vineyard in Marsannay, and a future Premier Cru. Fabien’s 0.78 hectares here are on shallow topsoil, giving a light, mineral and perfumed expression.
Thirty percent new oak supports the delicate red fruit nicely, along with some floral, spicy touches and a chalky, mouthwatering freshness. This is crunchy and pretty, but there is a sneaky hidden depth and structure that should help it age.
Domaine Geantet-Pansiot produces very elegant, deep wine that has an intense fruity flavor, each of them surprisingly clearly reflects the uniqueness of their terroir. The farm has completely abandoned the use of chemicals, and if necessary use a biochemical process. To ensure the high quality of the crop is used trimming the upper shoots and thorough plowing the soil, allowing the vine and, accordingly, berries, get all the necessary minerals.
Ripe, juicy taste of the wine gradually revealed mashed sweet notes of dark cherry, black plum and mulberry, forming a smooth kernel and ends abundant, almost salty, long aftertaste. More: https://winestyle.co.uk
