Michel Delhommeau's Monnières Saint Fiacre 2020 is a distinguished Muscadet Sèvre et Maine wine from the Loire Valley and a refined expression of the region's potential. While Muscadet wines are often enjoyed young, this cuvée—aged extensively on its lees—has the structure and depth to evolve beautifully with time. It can be cellared for several years, allowing its complexity and character to further unfold.

Served beautifully as an aperitif, this Muscadet is structured and complex, with balanced acidity and a creamy texture from extended lees aging. On the nose, sweet apple blends with floral notes and a hint of minerality, pairing perfectly with seafood—especially oysters—as well as fish, white meats, and soft cheeses.

The Delhommeau family have been involved in the tradition of winemaking in the Muscadet region, spanning several generations. Michel Delhommeau took the helm of the family estate in the late 20th century, shifting the focus toward producing wines of exceptional quality, elevating the region's reputation beyond its historical association with simple, everyday wines.

Today, the estate is recognised as one of the leading producers in the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation. Michel's son, Nicolas Delhommeau, now continues the family legacy, overseeing the estate's ongoing success.
