We recently worked with a close friend of Whitfield Wines to find some off-the-beaten-track wines from Burgundy to add to our 'Restaurants Wines at Home' collection and in its first couple of tastings, this was a huge hit. It’s finding its way on to all sorts of exciting lists in London.
Floral, honeysuckle, creamy, with a long finish are some of the descriptors for this magnificent white Burgundy. This wine makes a great pairing with light dishes such as grilled or baked white fish, shellfish, poultry dishes with creamy sauces, as soft cheeses.
Domaine Michel Sarrazin is nestled in the quiet hamlet of Charnallies, perched in the hills above Givry, approximately 30 kilometres south of Beaune. The Sarrazin family has dedicated generations to the art of winemaking in this region, cultivating over thirty hectares of vineyards primarily in Givry, with additional plots in Rully, Mercurey, and Maranges.
In the latter half of the 20th century, Michel’s sons, Guy and Jean-Yves, joined the family business, and together, furthering their winemaking expertise and recognition.
