Zesty and refreshing, Vinho Verde wines are known for their slight spritz, which enhances their lively character. Bright aromas of citrus lemon, lime, green apple, tropical fruits and mineral undertones carry seamlessly into the flavours.

Founded in 1842 by Dutch merchant Eduard Kebe, the company soon became a joint venture with Francois Marius Niepoort, who later took full control. Francois passed the business to his son, Eduard Niepoort, who focused on producing fine Port wines. By the time the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort, took the reins, the portfolio had expanded to include dry table wines crafted from native Portuguese grape varieties.   

Today, Dirk Niepoort and the sixth generation—Daniel, Marco, and Ana Niepoort—work together to innovate and grow the family business.
