‘Guardoilvento’ meaning ‘I watch the wind’ is dedicated to a trio of creatives—Graphic artist, Dante Albieri, Artist, Maria de Ferraris, and Writer/Navigator, Francesco Antonelli. Named after Antonelli’s debut novel, the wine evokes the image of an Alberello-trained vine, rooted deeply in the earth, enduring the wind—at times a gentle balm, at others a fierce force from Mt Etna’s high-altitude; yet the vine remains, listening and resilient, as the wind becomes both challenge and source of vitality, reflecting the characters of their wines.
Bright, mineral and elegant, this vibrant white bursts with citrus, white peach, and wild herb aromas. Crisp and refreshing on the palate with zesty acidity and a clean, salty finish. A perfect match for seafood, light pastas, and sunny afternoons.
Tenute Pietro Caciorgna traces its roots to 1953, when Giovanni and Fulvia Caciorgna settled in Tuscany, acquiring land once owned by the Bargagli and Visconti families to continue a long-standing tradition of farming. Cereals, sunflowers, and grapes were cultivated, releasing their first commercial wine in 2005.
Today, the estate is led by Pietro Caciorgna and his wife Elda, with their son Paolo as winemaker. In 2006, after visiting Marco de Grazia’s Tenuta delle Terre Nere on Etna’s northern slopes, Paolo was captivated by the volcanic terroir and acquired a vineyard there—marking the beginning of the winery’s expansion into Sicily and its identity as a producer rooted in two distinct landscapes.
