Salvioni’s Rosso di Montalcino 2021 is everything you’d hope for from one of Montalcino’s most revered artisanal estates—lifted, pure, and irresistibly drinkable.
Sangiovese sings here with juicy red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petals, and a pinch of Tuscan herbs, all wrapped in that signature Cerbaiola finesse. It’s lighter on its feet than the Brunello, but every bit as characterful, offering sleek tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mouth-watering finish. A gorgeous snapshot of the Salvioni style in a wonderfully approachable form. Open for effortless pleasure now or enjoy over the next few years.
Salvioni is one of Montalcino’s most respected small estates, crafting remarkably pure, expressive Sangiovese from the historic La Cerbaiola vineyard. With tiny production and meticulous, hands-on viticulture, the wines emphasise precision, transparency, and longevity. Every release reflects an unwavering commitment to tradition and an extraordinary sense of place.
Salvioni sits on the southeastern side of Montalcino, near Montosoli but slightly more isolated. The estate is centred around the tiny La Cerbaiola farmhouse and vineyards, on chalky clay soils at roughly 350–400 metres altitude.
